At Scripturient, we curate and offer analog tools for the writing life. Our products may include vintage goods, restored typewriters, notebooks, journals, fountain pens, desk tools, correspondence goods, apparel, limited editions, and other writing-related items.

Because many of our products are handmade, restored, vintage, limited-production, or produced in small quantities, our return policy differs from that of large retailers.

Returns

We accept return requests for eligible items within 14 days of delivery.

To be eligible for a return:

• The item must be unused and in its original condition.
• The item must be returned with all original packaging, accessories, and documentation.
• Proof of purchase is required.

To initiate a return, contact us before shipping any item back. Unauthorized returns may be refused.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are generally not eligible for return:

• Vintage or antique items
• Restored typewriters and other restored mechanical equipment
• Limited editions
• Special orders or custom-configured products
• Personalized or commissioned items
• Gift cards
• Clearance or final sale merchandise
• Consumable products that have been opened or used, including inks, paper products, notebooks, and journals

Any item marked “Final Sale” at the time of purchase is not eligible for return.

Vintage and Restored Goods

Vintage and restored products are inherently unique. Signs of age, patina, cosmetic imperfections, manufacturing variations, and mechanical characteristics consistent with vintage equipment are considered part of the item’s character and are not defects.

We make every effort to accurately describe and photograph vintage and restored items. Please review product descriptions carefully before purchasing.

Unless otherwise stated, sales of vintage and restored goods are final.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

Include:

• Your order number
• A description of the issue
• Clear photographs of the product
• Photographs of the shipping packaging if damage occurred during transit

Do not discard the packaging until we advise you, as it may be required for shipping claims.

If we determine that the issue resulted from shipping damage, a manufacturing defect, restoration defect, or fulfillment error, we will work with you to provide an appropriate resolution, which may include:

• Replacement
• Repair
• Store credit
• Partial refund
• Full refund

The resolution offered will depend on the nature of the product and item availability.

Shipping Costs for Returns

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless:

• The item arrived damaged
• The item was defective upon arrival
• We shipped the wrong item

Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return results from our error.

Order Cancellations

Orders may be canceled before shipment.

Once an order has shipped, it cannot be canceled and must follow the return guidelines outlined above.

Custom orders, special orders, personalized products, and commissioned work cannot be canceled once production or restoration has begun.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method.

Please allow 5–10 business days after receipt and inspection of the returned item for processing. Financial institutions may require additional time for funds to appear in your account.
